This French Model Had the Best '90s Style, Hands Down
I grew up reading magazines cover to cover in the ’90s and had an ever-growing mood board in my room with pages I had torn out. One of the constant people whose photos you’d find pinned up is Nadège du Bospertus—a French model whose outfits I still think about today. From snapshot-style pictures photographed by Arthur Elgort that feel like an early peek into street style to runway outfits from designers like Chanel, Hermès, and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, I simply can’t get enough of her inspiring looks from the ‘90s.
Ahead, I’m highlighting some of her most iconic outfits and five key styling lessons I learned from them. Though they were originally snapped a couple decades ago, they feel as relevant as they did back then. Ahead, see exactly why French model Nadège du Bospertus is one of my ultimate style icons.
Wear a Matching Skirt Suit
There is nothing as instantly polished as a matching skirt suit. Here, styled with statement earrings and a pair of sleek pointed heels, this is the chic outfit formula that will never go out of style.

Style a Bustier Top With Trousers
This outfit is such a fresh way to style a bustier top. The loose trousers and blazer offset the formfitting top and waist-defining belt for the perfect balance of proportions.

Embrace Pink-on-Pink
While neutrals are my comfort zone, this outfit is an instant dose of inspiration for wearing a bold shade like pink. The trick? Tonal dressing that mixes similar shades of one color family.

Go for an Oversize Blazer
While suiting has been a trend that has been growing over the last few years, we'll be sure to see looser, more comfortable styles like this one gain traction this year.
Also, Try Out a Blazer Dress
You can also opt for a blazer designed to be worn as a dress. Simply add sunglasses, strappy heels, and a micro bag.
