Gwyneth Paltrow Wore the Necklace Trend We’re All Leaning Into in 2020

In the age of Zoom and staying home (sorry, I know you're tired of hearing that), jewelry is one of the things that's remained a wardrobe constant for me this year. Even when wearing something as casual as a sweatshirt, I'll put on some jewelry and feel instantly put-together. I'd even go so far as to say that it lifts my mood. And I don't think I'm alone in that, as Forbes reported this summer that jewelry sales had spiked during the pandemic. So what's my point?

While walking in NYC last week, Gwyneth Paltrow wore an outfit consisting of casual basics. By adding a couple of chunky gold necklaces, she made the outfit look cooler and more polished. Chunky gold necklaces have been the #1 reigning necklace trend for a couple of years now, but this year has seen the popularity of the trend rise even more. Whatever casual, comfortable basics you wear, throw on one or more chunky gold chain necklaces and you don't really need any other accessories. Case in point: Gwyneth Paltrow.

Paltrow's necklaces may be (very pricey), but I found more wallet-friendly styles for your consideration. Scroll to shop.
