These New Sneaker Styles Look the Best With Jeans
As someone who wears denim nearly six days out of the week, I keep the wardrobe staple in heavy rotation in my wardrobe. So I’ll admit today’s story is slightly selfish on my end as I’m in need of updating my standard denim-and-heels rotation with some fresh sneakers. I’m a heels girl through and through, but as sneaker brands keep launching cool new styles, I’m ready to sprinkle new kicks into my outfit rotation.
While hopping on my go-to sites like Net-a-Porter and Need Supply Co., I spotted three main sneaker trends that I plan to add to my wardrobe this season. First up, “Barbie” sneakers, so anything pink, glittery, metallic, or pastel falls under this category. Pretty much every popular sneaker brand has a Barbie-style sneaker option for you. Second on my list is fresh classics; from Nike’s Air Max 90s with a new retro twist to Converse’s staple high-tops in an on-trend snakeskin print, all the timeless styles are now available in a very 2018 edition. The last category is multicolored sneakers, which make any outfit just a little more playful.
One note I want to add is, personally, I think all three categories look best when paired with cropped denim flares since the hemline hits right at the ankle, and you can show off your new kicks. Scroll on to shop my favorite picks from each top trend.
