The "Ugly" Shoes Everyone Secretly Loves Are Back With a Vengeance
You wore them in college and probably still wear them now, and whether you choose to flaunt that fact or not, there's no denying the universal love for Birkenstocks. The "ugly" shoes we all love to hate to love just came out in potentially their most fashionable update yet. Just released today, Opening Ceremony announced its newest collaboration with Birkenstock, complete with three new iterations of the brand's classic styles. Two of the three newly released shoes come in an animal print so good we'd be surprised if it doesn't sell out.
"The Arizona two-strap slip-on sandal comes in two styles—wrapped with white pebbled leather and also with a zebra printed hide. The Boston slip-on clog features a leopard printed hide for an opulent feel. Each style sits atop the leather-wrapped Birkenstock contoured cork footbed that is lined with plush black shearling," a brand representative told us. Whether you're adding these "ugly" shoes to your ever-growing wish list or plan on giving these as a really cool gift to your most fashionable friend, there's no denying the excitement stirring behind this festive collaboration.
Ahead, see the campaign imagery for the new Opening Ceremony x Birkenstock collaboration and shop all the new styles for yourself.
