The Trendy Ankle Boots People Stopped Wanting in 2018
The end of the year is approaching, which means that it's time for an onslaught of 2018 recaps, and one of the recaps that we most look forward to is Lyst's. The search platform gathered its fashion data from the past year (which included 80 million shoppers in 120 countries, no big deal) and compiled it into an easily digestible, highly insightful report.
While combing through the report, we spotted some similarities to what people were searching in 2017, e.g., Gucci everything, but the differences intrigued us most. One such particularly obvious omission from this year's list is the trend that was impossible to escape in 2017: sock boots. The trendy ankle boot style didn't make it onto any category of 2018's list, and our very own Kat Collings recently confirmed that the trend is fading away but not yet entirely gone.
Curious to know which shoe styles people do want in 2018? Keep scrolling to shop the 10 shoes that everyone pretty much lost it over this year, and head over to Lyst to read the report in full. (Heads up, the list is sneaker-heavy.)
