5 Outfits I'd Like to Copy Straight Away, Using My Paycheque

If you look in my saved folder on Instagram, you'll most likely find (amongst cute cats) many pictures of my top influencers' outfits. I see this feature as my easier, streamlined answer to Pinterest, often used to refer back to my favourite looks when I'm having one of those freakout "I own no clothes" kind of days.

Whilst perusing my saved section this week, I realised that there's a pattern in the types of outfits I'm bookmarking and wanting to re-create for summer 2019. So I've broken it down into easy outfit equations. Maths wasn't particularly my strong point at school, but it's as easy as adding key pieces to curate perfect pairings. From dad sandals and maxi dresses to shorts and blazers, scroll down to see the five outfit formulas that I think are worth dipping into this month's paycheque for.

Maxi Dress + Dad Sandals

Style Notes: Monikh made me a fan of dad sandals thanks to her Prada sellout pair, and now I'm a new enthusiast of lime dresses too. No wonder #Monikhmademedoit is actually a hashtag now. Team with this season's chunky headband to win even more style points.

Coloured Denim + Coloured Denim

Style Notes: Denim has a forever place in everyone's wardrobe, but for summer make it bright. Ada goes matchy-matchy with an orange set and adds her signature statement accessories.

'90s Monochrome

Style Notes: Monochrome never fails, so if it isn't broke then stick with it. It's the chic combo I always rely on for summer events, and there are so many dreamy white dresses popping up this season. Keep it streamlined and a little '90s for the win—like the ever-chic Pernille

Floral Top + Jazzy Trousers

Style Notes: Always one of the first to try out a new outfit combination, Maria teams this season's key top style—shirred and puff-sleeved—with statement trousers and clear mules. Yes, yes and yes.

Blazer + Shorts

Style Notes: I wear a blazer all year round. When it's cooler, it's for layering, and when it's summer, it's the lightweight cover-up to carry when you're in the UK. Cycling shorts are a trend thanks to the likes of Chanel, but I suggest giving a pair of longer length denim or tailored shorts a go instead if you aren't quite sure.

Next up, the summer trends to tick off.
