The Micro-Trend I Almost Missed But Realized Suddenly Everyone's Wearing
Trend research is something I am constantly doing. From stalking fashionable girls on Instagram to spending hours on Vogue Runway, I will admit that I feel it is my life's mission to discover new trends both big and small for all of you. With that being said, there are definitely a few that slip through the cracks, and the other day, I realized that for a few months now I had been seeing everyone wearing pinstripes, but it never really registered in my brain. So, here I am, coming to you as quickly as possible with a story all about the micro-trend that's so subtle, I almost missed it.
Pinstripes are a tried and true pattern that we most often associate with suiting or office-appropriate attire. While that aspect of the pattern shouldn't really be defined as a trend, the use of the fine lines on items like bustier tops, pleated mini skirts, and statement trousers certainly can. Thanks to some of my favorite fashion girls, this micro-trend is gaining steam and the ways they are styling this classic pattern are breathing new life into even the most basic of pieces. From sultry matching sets to simple blazers, pinstripes have officially proven to be trending and I have the pictures and products to prove it. Ahead, scroll down to see some of my favorite ways fashion girls are styling pinstripes this year and shop the items you'll need to cop the look.
