Sunglasses Are Every Celebrity's Lifeline—6 Brands That Get the Most Wear
Part of my job consists of keeping a close eye on celebrities and then scouring the internet to find out what exactly they're wearing so that I can tell all of you about it. It's my 6 a.m. pastime—something I do while I drink my first cup of coffee and mentally prepare for the day ahead. Because I spend so much time going through paparazzi photos and Instagram posts from A-listers like Hailey Bieber and Sofia Richie Grainge, I've created something of an encyclopedia in my brain of their most-worn items, from their go-to handbags to the sneakers they keep coming back to year after year. No wardrobe item gets more airtime among the celebrity set, though, than sunglasses, the one accessory that every famous person relies on.
Since eyewear is such a staple for oft-photographed celebrities, they're consistently the ones with the best pairs, especially when it comes to designer styles. Some are loyal to one brand, while others switch them out constantly, wearing Gucci one day and Oliver Peoples the next. Still, there are a few select brands that seem to always show up in the pictures I look at every morning. Below, find out which designer eyewear brands get the most love from celebs like Jasmine Tookes, Laura Harrier Kendall Jenner, and Jennifer Lawrence.
Prada
As she's the face of Prada Beauty, it's not all that shocking that Richie Grainge spends a lot of time wearing eyewear from the Italian fashion house. Here, she can be seen wearing a cat-eye pair with a full Prada look during her short trip to Milan for the brand's show back in September, which happened to be when she found out that she was pregnant—get that baby a pair of its own!

Alaïa
Everyone's talking about and wearing Alaïa right now—from the brand's sold-out Le Teckel bag to its eyewear, which is always elegant, a little out-there, and completely timeless. One such person who's been picking her Alaïas over other sunglasses is Lawrence, who can be seen above wearing the brand in multiple ways for a photo-call in Madrid for her rom-com No Hard Feelings.

Saint Laurent
I'll pretty much do anything that Tookes says to do, and while she isn't explicit about it, her Instagram feed is screaming out at me to invest in Saint Laurent sunglasses. It doesn't hurt her case that she has Harrier and Bieber on her side as well. From tiny sunnies to the most oversize ones, there's no end to the shoppable options, and I'm convinced that I need at least one of them—maybe even two.

Khaite x Oliver Peoples
Katie Holmes is only one of the many celebs who have traded in all of their pairs of sunglasses for one (or more) from Khaite's continued collaboration with Oliver Peoples. There's also Kaia Gerber, Richie Grainge, Olivia Rodrigo, and Lawrence, just to name a few.

Gucci
Gucci has been making iconic and celeb-favorite shades for decades, with both the Italian brand's new and vintage styles showing up on the faces of Hollywood's most beloved A-listers. Above, Jenner can be seen in Paris wearing a pair of GG1157s with an archival Mugler suit from 1989, and Dakota Johnson recently chose a more modern style from the brand for a sunny stroll around Rome. Neither route is wrong. In fact, both are so, so right.
Shop Gucci sunglasses:
Tom Ford
If you—like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Rihanna, Elsa Hosk, and Jennifer Lopez—prefer eyewear of the larger variety, you've found your brand in Tom Ford. All of the brand's available sunglasses are oversize and vintage inspired, ensuring that whoever slips them on is properly shaded and completely chic.
