I Got to Try On the 8 Best Fall Reformation Pieces—Here Are My Honest Reviews

Welcome to The Great Try-On. We're gearing up for fall, and that includes freshening up our wardrobes with some new pieces. We got to try on some of the best fall pieces from some of your favorite brands and documented it all from our at-home dressing rooms so that you can see how they actually look IRL. We hope that our photos and candid reviews will help you shop for fall wardrobe builders and trend-forward pieces that you'll wear over and over this season and beyond.

Reformation has been a go-to brand of mine for as long as I can remember. What used to be the only place I would shop for occasion dresses has now transformed into the retailer I turn to for quality wardrobe staples. This fall, I am on the hunt for a combination of basics and trendier pieces, and I knew Reformation would have everything I was looking for. I was right. 

I got the privilege of trying on a handful of fall Reformation pieces that caught my eye, and I documented everything for you here. With an array of pictures and products and my honest reviews, you'll get to take a closer look at some of the current popular picks at the retailer and what they look like on a 5'3" fashion editor. As I mentioned before, I was looking for a few key seasonal pieces I could add to my wardrobe, and Reformation over-delivered. From perfect jeans to a sweater I am already living in, this assortment is just what I needed for a practical fall closet upgrade. 

Reformation Ezlynn Knit Top & Cynthia High Rise Straight Jeans

My review: I am the pickiest person in the world when it comes to jeans, so I will admit to being pretty skeptical when I opened these up. My pessimism quickly drifted once I saw just how impressive the fit and quality of these jeans were. They have that rigid vintage feel, and much to my surprise, I did not need to get them hemmed. I've been so used to living in relaxed denim, so this tighter pair felt like just the departure I was searching for.

Reformation Cashmere Boyfriend Sweater

My review: Out of all the Reformation pieces I tried, this sweater is the one I know I will wear the most. It is the perfect thickness for sporting around L.A.'s pathetic attempt at fall, tying around my waist, and stuffing in a tote bag for chilly days at the office. The stripes feel so current and pair well with complementary basics or a nice contrasting print.

Reformation Foster Knit Two Piece

My review: The second Reformation came out with the top portion of this set, I added it to my cart and wore it at least three times a week upon arrival. Since then, the brand has released this matching set as well as a dress version that is available in two lengths. The cut of the top somehow manages to make every single outfit look extremely elevated (which is why I wear it so much) despite its stretchy cotton material, and the coordinating skirt is extremely comfortable for such a slim pencil fit.

Reformation Joni Dress 

My review: I won't lie—I wanted to try this dress because of the current Meredith Blake era we are in. Once it arrived and I tried it on, I was pretty blown away. The neckline is so striking, and the length is just right, even for a petite person like me. Here, I tried to dress it up a bit, but I would also like to style this dress with knee-high boots and a blazer, sneakers and a leather bomber, or ballet flats and a sweater tied around my waist. So yes, this dress is wildly versatile. Trust me.

Reformation Sarena Dress

My review: In my attempt to build up a more minimalist wardrobe, trying this satin shift dress was a must. It's so timeless and mod and can be styled in a myriad of ways. Here, I kept it formal by wearing strappy sandals and a statement necklace, but I recently wore it belted with ballet flats and an oversize blazer. Personally, I prefer the latter, but it looks good in all forms.

Reformation Mason Pants

My review: These pants are nice and actually photograph really well, but they were a tad too big for me. I didn't have a chance to try the smaller size, but I have a feeling it would have fit just right. The subtle pinstripe is something I don't currently have in my trouser arsenal, and this color will pair extremely well with most of the other fall hues in my wardrobe.

Reformation Cowboy High Rise Straight Jeans

My review: These jeans are my new go-tos. From the contrast stitching to the fit, I am convinced I will wear them to the ground. As I said before, I am extremely picky when it comes to jeans, but these passed all my tests. They are comfortable and interesting, and again, they shockingly don't need to be tailored. Petite girls get how much of a miracle this is.
