From Country Escapes to City Breaks: 4 Outfits to Wear on a Romantic Weekend
Let's get one thing straight: There is no single way to do a romantic weekend. Whether you're into long walks in the wilderness or bar-hopping in the city, one person's idea of a blissful escape can be another's worst nightmare. So when packing for a weekend away with a significant other, naturally, your clothing choices will vary according to your chosen location and personal style.
Personally, regardless of where I'm going, my packing approach is firmly in the "stylish yet comfy" camp and doesn't really deviate much from my day-to-day dressing—apart from the odd location-specific addition (think outdoorsy jacket or sofa-ready loungewear). I love a good oversized coat and pair of chunky boots, which will cater to multiple trips and keep you warm if you're heading off during the winter months (see Lucy Williams' cosy ensemble). I also love a high-low combo, as demonstrated by Linda Tol's blazer-and-tulle skirt outfit, for perfect Carrie Bradshaw inspired city break style.
So if you're heading off on a romantic break and in need of some low-maintenance yet stylish outfit inspiration, scroll down to see my pick of the best.
Weekend in the Country
Style Notes: If you're heading off on a countryside break, you'll probably want to stick to well-worn staples such as jeans and simple knits. You can keep things interesting by adding a statement coat à la Lucy Williams.

City Break
Style Notes: As someone who doesn't always feel super comfortable in traditionally girly outfits, I'm looking to Linda Tol for her clever combination of smart tailoring, combat boots and whimsical tulle skirt.

Trip to the Seaside
Style Notes: Layers is key when you're heading to the British seaside, as the weather can change at a drop of a hat. Ada makes it look so easy with her floral dress, cardi and checked coat. Note that you could easily swap in heeled boots and statement earrings for the evening.

Airbnb and Chill
Style Notes: Sometimes, all we really need is a weekend to hibernate, so if you're having some Airbnb or chill time, then you can't go wrong with this season's luxe jogger trend. Keep it tonal with a white tee, beige blanket coat and elevate with layered necklaces.
