Why Sarah Jessica Parker Didn't Want to Star in Sex and the City

You, like us, count Sex and the City as one of your favourite shows. But SATC as you know it almost didn't happen. We already brought you one reason why Sarah Jessica Parker was sceptical of doing the show, and as Harper's Bazaar pointed out, actor Seth Rudetsky talked to Parker for his Playbill column and further explained why Parker was unsure of filming the pilot.

According to Rudetsky, "Months later, she found out the show was picked up and she completely wanted to get out of it. I mean, completely. She really didn't want to be tied down to one job because she loved going from gig to gig and being what she called a 'journeyman.' She tried various ways to get out of it, including telling HBO she would film three projects for free if they'd release her from her contract!"

Well, fortunately that didn't happen, and we got to enjoy the Carrie Bradshaw we know and love.

What do you think of this? Do you love Sex and the City? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below. And if you're feeling inspired to shop, check out these gorgeous shoes Carrie would totally love.
