Selena Gomez Found the Most Comfortable Heel Trend

Selena Gomez just had a whirlwind press day in London, with a total of four outfit changes in a matter of hours. And one look, in particular, caught our eye, thanks in part to her choice of footwear. She started her very stylish Monday with a blue off-the-shoulder (still a thing, apparently) minidress by Cushnie et Ochs. While we would expect to see most celebrities pair the chic minidress with strappy stilettos, Gomez went with something a lot more unexpected.

One of the shoe trends to work its way back into relevance as of late (along with the kitten heel) is the wedge heel. But hers weren't the wedges you used to wear in the 2000s. Gomez's Trademark shoes were low-heel slip-on mules. The chic, comfortable shoes featured many other updated twists, including velvet as the primary material, an oversize yet modern gingham bow, and a concealed wedge that almost made them look like flats (but with more leg-lengthening powers). The wedges lend an effortless vibe to the dress, which in turn makes them more daytime-appropriate. Not only that but they're currently 50% at Net-a-Porter. So if Gomez has you convinced, we suggest adding them to cart ASAP.
