Update, November 17: Serena Williams just gave us the first look at her stunning wedding dress. Her new Instagram post shows off her jaw-dropping strapless Alexander McQueen gown, which features an exaggerated A-line silhouette and tons of beautiful tulle. Have you ever seen a prettier bride?

Originally published on November 16: Congratulations are in order: Serena Williams married Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian on Thursday. The ceremony took place at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans. On Wednesday night, the 23-time Grand Slam champ was photographed wearing a glittering gown with white Nike sneakers for her rehearsal dinner at Emeril Lagasse's restaurant Meril. Who says you have to wear heels? We're in love with her decision to nix traditional evening shoes and stick to her athletic roots instead. Stay tuned as we learn more about the nuptials.
