I still remember my first introduction to Sisley-Paris. It was my first week on the job as an assistant beauty editor at Byrdie, and I was sitting in a conference room, staring, (a bit gobsmacked) at a fellow beauty editor who had the most perfect lips I had ever seen. Or, namely, the most perfect lip color, I had ever seen. Vibrantly pink, but not in an obnoxious, overtly unnatural way. I kept thinking—it looks so natural, is that her actual lip color? How in the world is that fair?! I've never been afraid to directly address what someone has on their face, so after the meeting ended I asked what—if anything—she was wearing on her lips.

She revealed it was one of her all-time favorite products—Sisley's Phyto-Lip Twist Tinted Lip Balm in Candy—and rattled off all of the other shades she loved and wore regularly. Obviously, I called in own tube the very same night, and so began my utter infatuation with Sisley-Paris.

A legendary brand that came to life in 1976 (with roots dating back to 1955) the Sisley brand has become famous for its innovative melding of nature and science in the name of beauty and cosmetics. Now, the brand has a special collection of haircare products, Hair Rituel by Sisley-Paris, and countless makeup and skincare products that have evolved into agreed cult-classics, adored by makeup artists, celebrities, and beauty editors, alike.

I have always been aware of my love and adoration for Sisley, but after having the amazing experience of shooting with the legendary photographer Robin Black of Beauty is Boring for a Sisley event last year, and discovering even more gems to add to my routine, I realized I was using a Sisley product in every single step of my beauty regimen, and usually multiple Sisley products. I just can't get enough of Sisley's products, and while they are expensive, the high-quality and major results feel extremely worth it to me. For special occasions or days when she's taking more meetings or has an event, she'll wear anything and everything from Charlotte Tilbury (the foundations are game-changing), some shimmer on her lids (Stila and Róen do it best), and a few coats of the best mascara-type product on earth, Surratt's Noir Lash Tint.
