5 Spring Trends I'm Not Waiting Around to Buy—or Wear

It happens every year. We’re in the dead of winter, it’s 39 degrees outside (at least in NYC), dressing in layers is the name of the game, yet all anyone can focus on is spring trends. Blame it on fashion week’s impending arrival, or the fact that S/S 19 collections are what all our favorite designers are sprinkling into retailers right now, but whatever the reason, it can seriously play with this fashion editor’s emotions. After all, how can I focus on staying warm when all I want to wear is bike shorts and sandals?

I might have to hold off on busting out the floss heels until the temperatures rise or a tropical vacation magically appears on my calendar, but there are still plenty of spring trends I can start buying—and wearing—now. Just what are they? Keep scrolling to find out, see how some of our favorite girls are already wearing the trends, and of course, shop them for yourself.

1. Tie-Dye

All things California cool are trending for spring, and while board shorts and sporty sandals may have to lay low until spring, tie-dye is very much ready to be worn now.

Super-structured, almost doctor-style handbags are beginning to bubble up everywhere, and there's no reason not to start adding the polished accessory your outfits from now.

3. Utility

Come spring, cargo and all things utility are about to be very cool again, but what is even more ahead of the curve? Wearing them now, of course.

4. Leather Separates

This trend may actually be even better suited to winter than it is for spring. Swap any of your basics such as shirts, jackets, skirts, or pants for a (conveniently warmer) leather version ASAP.

Head-to-toe beige is the new black according to spring trends but, naturally, all of our favorite girls on Instagram have started sporting the look now.

Editor-at-Large

Since starting as an intern back in 2013, Nicole Akhtarzad Eshaghpour has held several roles here atBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing , and she is currently Editor-at-Large. It was a less expected route, seeing as she was graduating from business school at USC when this all began, but it has turned out to be the best one for her. Fast-forward to 2024, and she's moved to NYC from her hometown of Beverly Hills and spends her workdays a little differently from when she was an intern starting out. Currently, she focuses on a weekly mélange of shopping content. As far as her personal style goes, she's largely drawn to classic pieces and neutral basics but will always make an exception for something colorful, printed, or bejeweled as long as it's deemed worthy enough. After all, the only thing she loves more than a good party is dressing up for one. On weekdays, she can usually be found at home eating something delicious for dinner and trying to force her husband to watch Summer House.
