Move Over, Boots—These 4 Sandal-and-Dress Outfits Are It
Sponsor Content Created With SOREL
Every spring, no matter which trends are popping up at the time, I always return to one specific outfit combo: sandals and a dress. This duo can be re-created in infinite ways and requires minimal additional styling—I truly don't know what more anyone could ask for. This spring, there are two hero sandal styles I'd recommend snagging to level up all of your dress outfits: chunky, sporty sandals and lace-up wedges.
Both styles are having a big moment in fashion right now. Content creator Karsen Kimball, who can almost always be spotted in a dress, is already wearing these two sandal trends with minis and maxis alike. Her go-to pairs are from Sorel, and they're taking her spring style to the next level, which is very much apparent in the four looks below.
Kimball's spring style is giving me major vacation vibes. Think relaxed dresses, cool sandals, and pops of color throughout. "I have a very colorful aesthetic that tends to be less trendy in the fall and winter months, so I'm excited to get creative with colorful outfits this spring," she says. Her first outfit, a tie-dye dress with sporty, retro-inspired footwear, proves just that. I love the way the chunky sole and helmet-like buckle on her sandals are juxtaposed with the breezy, floor-length dress.

In case you were wondering whether this sandal comes in other colors, the answer is yes—five more, to be exact. Here, Kimball styles an icy-grey pair with a simple cotton minidress, a knit cardigan, and a straw bag, which she says is "the perfect, simple outfit to wear over a bikini on a hot summer day at the beach." I have a feeling she'll be walking or biking there thanks to her ultra-comfy footwear.

Want something a bit more elevated, but don't want to wear a skinny heel? Then wedges are going to be your best friend this season, especially this orange pair that offers both height and comfort (thanks to that rubber sole). Kimball styles them with a flirty minidress and a chunky multicolor cardigan for a casual evening out. "Comfy and stylish is a rare combination, which makes this ensemble the perfect date-night outfit," she says.

She may love bright colors, but Kimball also happens to be a pro at styling neutral looks (whether she'll admit it or not). This monochromatic dress-and-sandals 'fit is truly so versatile thanks to the modest height on those wedges. The pink rope laces also add a nice pop of color, which nods to Kimball's spring aesthetic.

If you're convinced that colorful accessories are the move for spring, my favorite white slides also come in this beautiful olive green.
These would look just as cute with high-waist trousers and denim as they would with a dress.
