These 5 Spring Outfits Guarantee A+ Style

Women's 9-to-5 style has changed drastically in the last decade and especially in the last few years. It's not just about whether your office dress code includes jeans anymore, but whether or not you even work from an office at all. With so many people freelancing from coffee shops or small companies operating out of co-working spaces, work attire is truly being redefined.
Personally, my office-style could use a little revamp. While I technically work in a traditional office environment with a relaxed dress code, I sometimes work from home or find myself spending the majority of the day around the city at various meetings and events. My go-to outfit consists of a pair of straight-leg denim, a button-down blouse of sorts, and strappy heeled sandals. Don't get me wrong; I love this look, but I desperately need to switch things up a bit.
I'm making a conscious effort to do exactly that this season, and my shopping is already well underway. First up, these five outfits from Banana Republic that are equal parts trendy and polished, which I personally believe is the winning formula for A+ office style no matter what your workplace environment may be like. I can't guarantee it, but I'm pretty sure these looks will elicit a little bit of style envy from your co-workers (or fellow coffee shop patrons). Sorry not sorry.
Bold suiting has been trending for a minute now, meaning it's no longer a style reserved for stuffy corporate jobs. If you've yet to commit to a suit, may I suggest this ultra-chic blue number? The pops of white in the plaid print feel fresh for spring and mean all you'll need for styling is a plain white T-shirt and some white sneakers. And if you do happen to work at said stuffy corporate job, just keep a pair of heels under your desk for meetings. Done and done.
I've recently come to the conclusion that leather pants are just as versatile, not to mention cool, as denim. At the moment, I'm into wearing mine with heeled booties, a plain tank, and a cozy teddy coat. Statement earrings are technically optional, but they shouldn't be. While this modern outfit is definitely office-approved, I'd personally where it on a weekend date too.
Snoozing my alarm three times so I only have 20 minutes to get ready for work is a bad habit. Keeping stylish maxi dresses on hand for when I do is a good one. There's simply nothing easier to wear than a dress, and since polka dots are trending for spring, this option needs no explaining. I prefer wearing casual accessories with polished dresses like a denim jacket, crossbody bag, and flat mules. The best part of this look? It can easily be transitioned into your new go-to Sunday brunch outfit.
Wearing skinny jeans in front of your boss, let alone your boss's boss, might be a stretch for some work environments. Instead, try a more elevated style like wide-leg denim (ideally with a belt included for some no-brainer styling). Tucking in a collared shirt or sweater will add further polish to the look and so will pumps (bonus points for a fun snakeskin print).
This outfit has "Summer Fridays" written all over it, which sparks joy in and of itself. Balancing out the sleek shorts with a more tailored blazer is what really makes this look work for work (sorry, had to!). It's also perfect for anyone who doesn't work in a physical office but who may need to look polished during a meeting. Definitely opt for flat shoes, like leather or suede loafers, over heels when wearing shorts to the office. But if you want to add some fun seashell earrings to remind you that it is almost beach weather, I won't stop you.
