6 Accessories That Became Cult Buys This Month
Even for those who don’t work in the fashion industry, it can be profoundly interesting to see the way trends present themselves over time. Sure, you might be aware that Bottega Veneta is in just by looking at Rosie HW’s Instagram, or have a slight inclination that Jacquemus is trending after seeing every Kardashian and Hadid toting around its signature mini bag. Though often it's not until we start to see these products translate into real life that we can really bestow upon them the coveted cult status. And that's exactly where the street style set comes in.
Each February, trending products start to emerge across New York, London, Milan and Paris, as editors, influencers and buyers step out to attend runway shows in their fashion week best. From a popular pair of shoes to a favoured handbag, it's easy to gauge which accessories have been the most coveted simply by seeing an item's ubiquity across street style images.
So which items are at the top of the most-wanted list this season? Well, when it comes to must-have pieces, we've seen more Prada Bowling Bags in Milan than we can count, and despite the current climate have also noticed a fair few showgoers sporting Bottega's new spiral sandals.
Loewe's take on the bucket bag has also been extremely popular amongst attendees, as has Wandler's Georgia bag, which is available in a myriad of different colours.
Of course, the true test of an influencer-in-the-know is in the number of trending items they tick off, and if we were to play a game of cult-product bingo, My Theresa's Tiffany Hsu would likely come out on top. The brand's fashion buying director, pictured above, has been seen in several of the most popular accessories of the season.
