What L.A. Girls Are Wearing for a Casual Summer Night Out
Here in L.A., we're blessed with typical "summer" weather year-round. (We know that we're a little bit spoiled.) All that good weather means that every L.A. girl has her own outfit combo on lock for a casual night out in the city. Whether it's a midi dress with sandals or a crop top with high-waisted trousers, these laid-back outfits are what define L.A.-girl summer style.
Every Thursday in June, we host a (free!) outdoor movie screening as part of our annual Street Style Cinema series at The Grove to kick off the season on a stylish note. We picnicked on the lawn, sipped cocktails, and enjoyed our favorite modern classics—we dare you to name a more ideal summer night. The series started with a rom-com favorite that's quintessentially L.A., 500 Days of Summer, and will finish off on an equally strong note with a screening of La La Land.
A stylish L.A. crowd of fashion bloggers, editors, andBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing readers turned out for the first three screenings of the series. If you weren't able to make one of them, not to worry. Just ahead, we're sharing the best outfit moments yet along with the key pieces you can shop to get their looks.
In a genius styling trick, Kendall Keith layered our Striped Button-Down Shirt over our Tie Back Jumpsuit.
Kathryn Zahorak's romantic floral dress perfectly set the stage for our 500 Days of Summer screening.
Courtnee Crews doubled up on the rainbow stripes and gave the matching set a streetwear vibe via chunky-soled sneakers.
Calling all edgy girls—copy Wendy Duran's polka-dot pants with your go-to pair of combat boots.
Who What Wear's editor in chief, Kat Collings, made a strong case for this standout green maxi dress, pairing it with a satin Row bag and white ATP sandals.
Managing Editor Michelle Scanga made her affordable high-waisted trousers look easily five times their price, pairing them with a puff-sleeved crop top and vintage mules.
Associate Editor Kristen Nichols went the classic route in theBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing dress that has quickly become the It item of this summer's collection.
An expecting Robin Plotnick styled our Belted Midi Dress to perfection.
The same $40 jumpsuit worn two ways, as shown by Kristina Zias and Amy Serrano.
This look is giving us all the inspiration we need to wear our wrap dresses open as dusters.
Next up, see our epic cover star, Sasha Lane.
