Suddenly, Every Great Jeans Outfit of 2024 Includes This Unexpected Accessory
We're only a month in, and so far 2024 has been a great year for trends. Having learnt some lessons from the 2010s, plucked the best from the '00s and absorbed precious inspiration from the '90s, fashion lovers have managed to pull together an amalgamation of some of the chicest key trends from the past few decades to shape the way that fashion looks today.
Whilst the return of some key trends has felt like a natural evolution, the reemergence of others has taken us by surprise. But, with some very 2024 twists, it's hard to understand why we haven't been wearing them for longer. For me, no item speaks to this as well as the studded belt.
Forever relied upon for a cinched silhouette, the humble accessory latterly took on an "indie sleaze" edge, often featuring square, studded detailing and a sharper finish, but now that 2024 has got its hands on it, new-season belt styles are looking fresher and chicer, retaining a subtler grungy feel with overarching elegant shapes. There are lots of temping iterations cropping up from our favourite brands, but the fashion set can't seem to stay way from one particular style.
A sleek black belt peppered with rounded studs, Khaite's Benny Leather and Studs Belt (£490) has been stealing fashion hearts. Adding a polished element to a classic jeans and T-shirt pairing, the black leather belt has quickly become a new-season cult buy.
Whilst there's no doubt that Khaite has perfected the studded belt, the high street is full of affordable versions that carry the same polished edge.
From COS to Mango, read on to discover our edit of the best studded belts to buy now.
