I hope you're all enjoying summer so far—basking in the heat and reemerging into somewhat of normalcy now that the world is slowly starting to reopen. Not to burst the summer bubble and mention the F word (fall, that is!), but the upcoming autumn season has been popping into my head a lot lately—especially since it's my job to stay ahead of the curve and analyze what's going to be trending next season.

Lilac is one of those surprisingly versatile colors you can wear year-round. While it has crept in and out of the limelight for the past year, we can safely say it's back in full force for fall. While you may think bright and bold saturated hues are reserved solely for summer, think again. Designers injected optimistic hues heavily into their fall collections—alluding to the fact that we're all still looking for a dose of fun and brightness even when the weather turns cooler.
