The Coolest Color Trends to Buy Right Now That Will Be Huge for Fall
I hope you're all enjoying summer so far—basking in the heat and reemerging into somewhat of normalcy now that the world is slowly starting to reopen. Not to burst the summer bubble and mention the F word (fall, that is!), but the upcoming autumn season has been popping into my head a lot lately—especially since it's my job to stay ahead of the curve and analyze what's going to be trending next season.
With this in mind as I shop throughout summer, I'm also paying close attention as to what pieces are going to serve me throughout the next season ahead—especially when it comes to the colors I'll be wearing. In fact, for the past few weeks, I've combed through some of the biggest color trends we saw on the F/W 21 collections to bring you the trending hues that you can buy now, wear now—and wear this fall. Take a peek below at some of the transitional colors that will take you from summer to fall in style.
Lilac is one of those surprisingly versatile colors you can wear year-round. While it has crept in and out of the limelight for the past year, we can safely say it's back in full force for fall. This pretty purple has been spotted in a myriad of collections from Givenchy to JW Anderson. Wear it in the form of dresses and shorts for summer, then layer with rich camel and gray hues come fall.

While you may think bright and bold saturated hues are reserved solely for summer, think again. Designers injected optimistic hues heavily into their fall collections—alluding to the fact that we're all still looking for a dose of fun and brightness even when the weather turns cooler. We're seeing the saturated color trend in a range of hues from yellow to magenta, so take your pick!
Shop the color trend:
Pretty and feminine, blush pink is back on center stage this fall. Spotted on coats, dresses, and knits in various textures and volumes. The best part is that it's so easy to wear the color now and later.

Okay, so no surprise here that black is trending hard this fall, but we're also seeing it in the spotlight this summer too. LBDs are certainly one of the easiest ways to showcase the chic hue (as seen all over the F/W 21 runways).

It's all about a little sparkle and shimmer this fall. Wear it now in the form of a chic swimsuit or cami and in fall with a standout dress. For a subtler take on the trend, opt for a glittering accessory.
