I'm Making Travel Plans, and These Hot Spots and Outfits Are High on My List
The spirit of summer is alive and in my bones, which means I'll be regularly checking Google Flights until October. If it isn't apparent yet, I'm in a constant state of wanderlust and have the bookmarks to prove it. Every year I make a running list of vacation destinations that stick out to me for having that je ne sais quoi, so to speak. Whether it's because they're gaining traction as a global hot spot like Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc is, are new to the scene, or are located in a cool location, these are more than your usual run-of-the-mill resorts.
While these vacations all exist purely within my internet tabs (for now), my fashion editor tendencies have already envisioned a full roster of outfits for each. Should I be favored with an extra vacation fund, I'll be prepared. Below, see the top five destinations I'm itching to visit, plus the pretty resort clothes I'd pack.
Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc
Location: Antibes, France
Even before Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge descended on Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc for what many have dubbed Gen Z's royal wedding, the resort was known as the retreat in the French Riviera. Expect stunning views and a glamorous clientele.
Both the pool and the view of the Mediterranean Sea are legendary.

Palm Heights Grand Cayman
Location: Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands
Founded by creative Gabriella Khalil in 2019, Palm Heights has become a retreat for those looking to slow down and soak in the clear turquoise waters. The eclectic and artful interiors aren't pretentious, providing a warm home-away-from-home feeling. Don't be surprised if you spot fashion editors or other creative types enjoying a drink at the hotel.
You'll want to spend as much time indoors as you can here—the decor is that good.

Six Senses Con Dao
Location: Con Dao, Vietnam
It's not every day that you get to relax in a national park. Situated in the middle of Vietnam's Con Dao, a small archipelago off the country's southern coast known for its sandy beaches and lush vegetation, a major draw of this resort is its access to a beautiful private beach.
Shop the vacation wardrobe:
The Oberoi Beach Resort, Mauritius
Location: Turtle Bay, Mauritius
If you want to stray from the usual spots (one can only go to Portofino so many times), it's time to consider Mauritius. Sure, it's more than 25 hours of airtime from New York, but like most long-haul flights, it's totally worth it. The country itself is a nexus of varying cultures and cuisines, which feels unlike any where else in the world.

Amanjena
Location: Marrakech, Morocco
At this point, I feel like I'm the only person who hasn't gone to Marrakech this year. The city has emerged as a favorite of creatives, especially those who appreciate architecture and decor. Amanjena was recently named a favorite destination of Condé Nast Traveler readers, thanks to its serene setting and stunning villas. But true to just about every Aman property, this resort is nothing short of breathtaking.
If surrounding yourself in quiet is a priority, Amanjena is the way to go.
