The Venice Film Festival Is Actually Happening—Here Are the Best Looks
As you might've imagined, the Venice Film Festival looks a little different this year, but the point is that it's actually happening. In-person and with a red carpet. Strict testing and quarantine guidelines for the attendees, restrictions on international travel due to the pandemic, and fewer American festival entries than usual means that attendees are mostly European this year. But among them are some well-known faces such as jury president Cate Blanchett, Tilda Swinton, and model Taylor Hill.
Scrolling through the red carpet photos from the festival is a reminder that the COVID-19 pandemic certainly hasn't gone anywhere, as masks are required except when attendees are being photographed (but luckily, the red carpet is huge and outdoors). Perhaps the potential success of this festival is an indicator of how future similar events (i.e. awards shows and movie premieres) will go, but in the meantime, this is the only red carpet eye candy we have at the moment, and it doesn't disappoint.
Keep scrolling to see the best looks from the 2020 Venice Film Festival, and be sure to check back as we'll be adding more through September 12 when the festival concludes.
