Everything You Need to Know About Buying a Vera Wang Wedding Dress
When it comes to shopping for designer wedding dresses, it’s almost impossible to know where to start. There are so many styles, and so many new designers popping up each season, it can easily become confusing to find that all-important gown. However, if you’re looking for something modern with a fashion edge that you’re unlikely to have seen at any other wedding, look no further than Vera Wang.
Chances are you’ve already heard of the designer. Wang, formerly a Vogue editor and design director at Ralph Lauren, set up her own bridal label in 1990, just six months after tying the knot. Since then, the New Yorker has positioned herself as the A-list's go-to bridal designer, most famously creating wedding dresses for Victoria Beckham, Kim Kardashian West, Lily Aldridge and Jennifer Lopez. Away form the bridal scene, the designer has also dressed Michelle Obama.

Why should brides-to-be consider saving for a Vera Wang design? Even the briefest of looks through her iconic collection of gowns tells us you won't be disappointed: Wang's head-turning creations expertly pair classic, figure-flattering silhouettes to make your feel your absolute best, with modern fabrics and cuts that range from subtle to statement-making.

Sure, you'll be looking to spend between £2000 to £10,000 (or possibly even more), but the quality and craftsmanship is excellent, and you're guaranteed to feel a million dollars on your big day. So how exactly do you get your hands on a Vera gown? It's surprisingly easy. Scroll below for three simple ways to secure your dream dress.
1. Book An Appointment
This may seem fairly obvious when hunting for a wedding dress, but you should know that not all bridal boutiques stock Vera Wang. To see and shop the current collection, head straight for The Wedding Gallery in Marylebone. Expect to pay a £30 appointment fee (and know that this is fairly common; if you're after the total bridal experience, you won't be disappointed).

2. Try WHITE by Vera Wang
If you don't have a huge budget, try David's Bridal. Launched back in 2011, WHITE by Vera Wang is an exclusive collection of gowns which cost between £500 and £1300, with some styles reduced to just £380 in select sizes. This is your destination for Vera's dream gowns that won't blow the entire wedding budget.
3. Consider A Second Hand Dress
Savvy brides-to-be should consider a secondhand dress. There's a huge market for selling your dress post-wedding, with many brides deciding against storing theirs in the loft somewhere. Vera Wang dresses can cost as little as £500, and joining a site such as Sell My Wedding Dress will set you back around £15 a year. Or why not try eBay.co.uk or Vestiaire? While this may take a little longer to find the dream dress—and you may need to tread carefully to ensure it's in good condition—you could secure a real bargain.
