One of my New Year's resolutions last year was to be more strategic with my purchases, and almost a year later, I'm happy to report I've done a pretty good job of sticking to it. This way, my wardrobe consists only of pieces I absolutely love, and I end up reaching for them on repeat all season.

This winter is no different—meaning the same handful of items are getting all the attention right now. I've been relying on various combinations of my favorite pieces, reaching for them so frequently that the cost per wear on these is virtually zero. From the denim style I wear with every outfit to the coat silhouette I can't get enough of, these five versatile winter basics have become the backbones of my wardrobe.
