We Went Street Style Spotting on the Amalfi Coast—These 11 Outfits Wowed Us
Buongiorno, and please accept our gift of a delicious little slice of Italian style! More specifically, help yourself to the visual feast that is 11 fabulous women in glorious summer outfits pictured on the streets of Amalfi. I mean!
If you haven't yet booked a holiday, the below IRL looks will prompt you to do so almost immediately—they certainly made me regret my decision to go to the Isle of Wight… And if you are already planning to go abroad but aren't remotely close to perfecting your packing list, the ideas and key pieces are all here for you to pick and choose from.
Photographer Thomas Razzano took to the streets of the historic coastal town, as it has long been heralded as one of the chicest places to holiday in the whole of the Mediterranean. We weren't sure what to expect of the locals and tourists when it came to their exact holiday ensembles, but we felt safe in the knowledge that whatever imagery came back to us would be utterly chic and full of inspiration. Razzano, and the stylish crowd he found, did not disappoint.
A few clear trends and It items are plain to see, even from a cursory glance at the results. Vibrant prints are very much in, and even better if they have a Majolica vibrancy to them with loud florals and fruit motifs. Summery white staples are forever the sophisticat's choice and rightly so—they never look bad whether ultra minimal in the form a backless dress or more bohemian in a cutwork embroidered blouse. It perhaps comes as no surprise with the Italians being known for their love of luxury leather goods that designer bags were omnipresent, but it was Loewe's crazy-popular basket tote that trumped them all. Keep scrolling to see what to wear to the Amalfi Coast or any hot destination for that matter!
Style Notes: This holiday look is confident, fun and unique. Crochet textures are big news again for summer 2022, but rather than looking too bohemian, Tamar takes a kookier turn with a polka-dot chiffon cover-up and furry sandals.
Style Notes: This is all about a wild print and fabric clash within a limited colour palette.

Style Notes: I've never seen white cut-off denim shorts looks so elegant! With clip-on earrings, what look like Hermès Oran sandals, a classic broderie anglaise blouse and chic tortoiseshell sunglasses, Vaccarello has inspired me to keep things simple now and then.
Style Notes: Basket bags, in every shape or form, are clearly still a top choice.
Shop the look:
An embroidered white or off-white blouse will never let you down.
Style Notes: Okay, Silvana—you win! This tile-print co-ord is just so joyful. Combined with gold jewellery, an adorable mini bag and great shades, this is like holiday dressing 101.
Style Notes: Hello, little beaded Lady Dior bag—you are too darling.
Shop the look:
Style Notes: The contrast of a plain white cotton shirt against a crochet maxi skirt and raffia tote makes for quite the minimalistic treat.
Style Notes: It's a bona fide modern classic.
Shop the look:
Style Notes: Sometimes all you need is a cute floral dress, as proven by Michelle here. So don't forget to throw one into your suitcase!
Style Notes: See what I mean about the bag? It goes with simple looks as well as more romantic ones.
Shop the look:
Style Notes: Jumana's lemon-print kaftan is such a statement. I appreciate how she's given is a streetwear spin with a cross-body bumbag and sneaks.
Style Notes: A staple straw hat can be thrown into the mix of any holiday outfit and work.
Shop the look:
The influence of Dolce Gabbana can be seen across many of the street style looks pictured here.
Style Notes: Andrea combines a longline waist-nipping shirt with short shorts and trainers for a sporty ensemble.
Style Notes: You could easily add heels to this combination for a simple evening look.
Shop the look:
Style Notes: I think this is my favourite look of all. I enjoy the scarf styling of Mariana's top and how it reflects the sarong skirt without feeling too "done." A truly elegant combination.
Style Notes: See? You can travel with, and get use out of, your favourite cross-body bag that you wear all the time at home.
Shop the look:
Personally, I love a sarong skirt with a plain tee.
Style Notes: Co-ords have moved past trend territory and become a standard category in our home-and-away wardrobes. This one is particularly jolly with its puff sleeves, frills and stripes.
Style Notes: Resortwear is often all in the details and this raffia-wrapped buckle is a great example.
Shop the look:
The kind of bikini top you could wear as a top-top.
Style Notes: A harmonious blend of minimalism (that bucket hat, A-line cream skirt and simple sandals) with a little fun (hello, printed keyhole crop top and yellow bag).
Style Notes: Micro tops always look grown-up with longer-length skirts.
Shop the look:
Style Notes: Simple but effective, a LWD and matching white accessories looks wonderful on holiday.
Style Notes: Backless styles are ultra romantic in 2022—note the puff sleeves and ruched bust on this dress.

Cute!
