Fringes Are Back—This Trending, Low-Effort Style Is What I'm Booking in for
I'll be the first to admit that I'm a little bit obsessed with curtain bangs. There's something so chic about this fringe hairstyle, and I love how it frames your face and adds texture and dimension to the hair. That being said, I've noticed a new fringe trend taking over, and I'm not going to lie, I think it might be my new favourite. Say hello to "wispy bangs". I first noticed this style picking up at the end of last year, with the likes of Taylor Hill and Emily Ratajkowski giving it a go, Since then, I've been seeing it crop up on my TikTok and Instagram feeds more and more. There's something so effortlessly cool about this hairstyle, and I'm seriously considering giving it a go for the spring and summer months.
If you're not yet familiar with this fringe, let me give you a little context. As the name suggests, these bangs are a lot wispier than your standard block fringe. The hair at the front of the face is more feathered, often letting your forehead peek through. Although the shape does have some similarities to a block fringe, the scattered finish makes it appear a lot softer, which is why I'm such a huge fan. It's great for those of you who want something a bit bolder than curtain bangs, but also don't want a super statement hairstyle. Don't believe me? I've rounded up some of my favourite wispy bangs hairstyles below, so keep on scrolling for all the inspo...
