Whether you're looking for buzzy, trending pieces, timeless investment buys or wondering what the new-in sections have to offer, finding hidden gems is our speciality, and right now there's no better place to find something for every style, budget or occasion than Zara.
We all know that the Zara website can be an incredibly long scroll, so when you don't have the time to sort through the endless list of buys, that's where we step in. In order to bring you the pieces that are guaranteed get the most compliments, we've taken the time to carefully sift through the site and put together an edit of one of the most important purchases you can make this season: shoes. It might be time to pack away our sandals for another year, but there are plenty of flat shoes, boots, classic ankle boots, trainers and heels to keep you occupied for the next few months, proof that Zara isn't just the best place to head to refresh your clothing wardrobe.
After spending some time trying looking through the A/W '23 shows, and cross referencing them with Zara's new-in section, I’ve picked out 5 autumn shoe trends that I predict will huge in the latter half of the year. We're talking easy-to-wear flats that go with jeans, dressy boots for party season, and of course plenty of chic heels and Instagrammable slingbacks perfect for wearing right now. So, keep scrolling to see the 5 zara autumn shoe trends set to dominate 2023.
1. MARY-JANES
Take this years breakout shoe trend (the ballet flat), and add a strap (or two) maybe a low heel, and voila, the Mary Jane. the natural progression of the trending pump. After everyone from Alexa Chung to shoe aficionado Sarah Jessica Parker were spotted in Mary Janes, it became clear that this ladylike shoe would be enjoying a revival, but nowhere more so than Zara. Expect prints, metallics, heels and flats, all with cute strap and buckle detail that makes the shoe quite so charming.

2. WESTERN BOOTS
When it comes to cowboy boots, this isn't Zara's first rodeo, but this season most definitely ups the ante. There are classic suede and leather calf-high styles but also some new takes on the western front: most notably, the metal capped leather boot and fashion forward western mules. The perfect styles to wear now with short skirts and trench coats and again in winter with jeans and chunky knits.

I'm surprised that these don't cost at least three times more.
3. METALLICS
Molten metallics are one of the biggest runway trends predicted for the end of the year, and should head-to-toe silver and gold not be your vibe, how about nodding to the trend through your shoes? There are of course plenty of everyday flats to wear with simple outfits, but our favourite pieces are the statement heels and disco boots designed to light up the dancefloor come party season.

Don't feel like strappy heels? These are a great evening alternative.
At the first sign of unpredictable sun, we'll be reaching for these.
4. LUG SOLES
Intermittent weather calls for a durable shoe that can stand up to anything, and chunky boots and shoes with thick lug soles are not only fashionable, but they're functional too. Biker boots are having a moment and the heavy duty trend has filtered down to loafers and even Mary-Janes too, so this season it's time to shelve the stilettos and look for substantial styles that pack a punch.

5. TALL BOOTS
Sure, the leather ankle boot is a classic, but there's nothing quite like a knee-high boot to dress up even the most simple outfit. From mini skirts to maxi dresses, the tall boot is perfect for autumn and winter too, and we haven’t been able to scroll through Instagram without stumbling across fashion's best dressed in a pair of chic, sleek knee-high boots. And for good reason—they’re often the hero piece to the most polished looks thanks to their statement-making nature.
