Zara Just Launched Knitwear So Luxurious I'm Going to Pretend It's Designer

I don't condone lying, but on this particular occasion, I feel confident in withholding just a teeny-tiny (fairly vital) piece of fashion information: All of the knitwear I'm going to buy this season will probably come from Zara, but I won't tell anybody. I may hint towards it being from The Row or Totême or Lemaire or some other super-luxurious, ultra-minimalist brand that specialises in these kinds of mega expensive-looking-but-actually-quite-plain knitted jumpers, skirts, dresses and trousers. No one will know (apart from you, of course).

Our entire office is abuzz over Zara's latest cosy drop. It's chock-full of very grown-up, elevated mix 'n' match items that are timeless (and therefore quite useful purchases for years to come) but also reflective of fashion's continued mood for all things pared-back. A simple grey roll-neck worn over matching trousers? Chic. A chunky white sweater that looks just as good with baggy jeans as it does thrown over a grunge dress? Versatile. A knitted and knotted co-ord that looks cool for work but also will be your comfiest thing to wear on a plane or at home? Double yes. Sticking to a neutral and muted colour palette and stripping all of these pieces of embellishment or detailing, there's no denying that they look premium. Keep scrolling to see which new Zara knits we have in our baskets.

Style Notes: As a point of difference, Zara has set organza sleeves against a dress and a cute jumper (see further down in the gallery).

Style Notes: It's this comfy and snuggly co-ord that's going to keep me happy all season long. Note: It would also look cool with sneakers.

Style Notes: When it's right, it's right, and this white roll-neck is all kinds of perfect.

Style Notes: Zara has styled a lot of their knitwear pieces with plain black leather boots—a tack we'll be following straight away.
