What Our Editor Is Shopping to Kick Off 2017
A new year means a new reason to fill your wardrobe with shiny new things. Before I head back to work, I'm using the first week of January to get my wardrobe sorted. I'm re-organising it, and shopping for pieces from some of 2017's biggest trends, so I feel fresh and ready to attack the year head on.
First up, I'm shopping for gingham. I can't get enough of the retro fabric in big, voluminous shapes. Next, I still (believe it or not), don't have enough denim *insert evil laugh*, so will obviously be finding a new pair of jeans to add to my overflowing collection. Lastly, I'm after shiny silk tops (to wear with all my denim).

When I head back to work for the year, I'll also get away with wearing this layered over a white tee.
My yearly ritual is to shop for a slew of new Bassike T-shirts in January.
There's nothing that feels quite as polished like a pair of bright white sneakers. Now, to try and keep them clean.

This label is new and exclusive to Desordre, so I have a feeling it won't last long. Shiny silk tops will be everywhere this year.
It looks like we're still obsessed with earrings this year. And I have absolutely no problem adding to my collection when they look like these stunners.
Classic, no fuss jeans. Too easy.
UNDER $2000
This bag was everywhere in the second half of 2016, and its popularity is not dying down. I'm jumping on the bandwagon and making this my 2017 work bag.
It's going to be an absolute mission to keep these clean, but satin shoes will be everywhere this year, and I want to get in early.
While slip dresses clearly aren't a new trend (they won 2016), this cowl neck version will be my MVP this year.
