I'm a Beauty-Product Snob, and These 10 Got Me Through 2023
As a beauty editor, my desk is a revolving door for new beauty products. Chances are, most products that have launched in the past year have either made their way into my hands or into my inbox. Needless to say, it takes a lot for a product to impress me—if I try a product that I don't like, I'll almost immediately donate it or give it to a friend.
There are very few products I would actually use to the last drop, but this year, I had a few favorites. Keep reading for some of the products that got me through the past year—they're all well worth the money.
I have genetic dark circles and a proclivity to puffy eyes, and this eye cream was one of the best I've ever used.
Not only is this lotion the perfect consistency (rich enough for tons of moisture but light enough to sink into skin instantly), but it also smells incredible and is the perfect base (or not) for any fragrance.
I wear a red lip every day, and this hydrating, high-shine balm from Chanel is so easy to swipe on in a pinch and doesn't dry out my lips. Plus, it's the ideal shade of red.
Out of all the mascaras I've tried this year, Benefit's new Fan Fest mascara is by far the best for length and volume—and it doesn't smear or bleed at all.
When I don't use this hair serum, I can tell the difference—my hair is much less shiny, has more frizz, and doesn't feel as soft.
I love using this concealer and tint on days when I don't want to wear foundation but still need a bit of coverage.
My Dyson Airwrap is my most prized possession, and I use it almost every day to give myself an at-home blowout.
In my opinion, red nails are practically nude nails. This is my go-to red.
When this perfume came out in the fall, I was immediately hooked. It's the ideal sweet gourmand—patchouli and papyrus add depth and keep it interesting.
Starface pimple patches are one of my favorite staples. This party pack comes in fun colors that you can wear out of the house.
