Basics are the unsung heroes of our wardrobes, often doing the heavy lifting when it comes to constructing an outfit of note. I'm one to cut corners where I can, but I also recognize that a well-made T-shirt has the ability to make an ensemble. Case in point: A sequin midi skirt with a simple white tee is a holiday-party cornerstone, but it just doesn't have the same effect when said tee is too flimsy or lacking shape. That being said, whenever I need to stock up on cool basics, I usually head to Nordstrom first.
