It's that time of year: The 2018 MTV Video Music Awards are finally here. So far, the red carpet is already impressing us. I want to blame how excited I was to see Ariana Grande on the recent release of her new album, Sweetener, but in all honesty, I'm just obsessed with her. To no one's surprise, she showed up on the red carpet with her fiancé, Pete Davidson, for the first time since their engagement, and if you're a true fan, this is a big deal.

In typical Grande fashion, she wore a bold metallic minidress and thigh-high boots. No ponytail was in sight, but we have our eyes peeled for her signature look and (naturally) an outfit change for her performance later in the evening. In the meantime, take a gander at the cuteness that is Ariana and Pete looking all smitten on the red carpet. Because that's what we'll be doing for another day or so.
