I Just Found Everything I Could Possibly Want for Autumn at ARKET

Sponsor Content Created With Arket

I'm calling it—summer is over. I've packed up my bikinis and stored away sandals, as the hope for a sudden heatwave just doesn't look likely. However, it's not a sad goodbye to summer, but a warm welcome to autumn. Though the summer months have their perks (if we actually get any sunshine), in terms of fashion, I've always felt drawn to autumn.

For me, fashion really gets going in autumn. The art of layering, the muted hues that come into their own and the playful way in which we combine textures all begin when temperatures start to drop. So with the weather refusing to play ball, I'm anticipating autumn and readying my wardrobe for the cooler months, which inevitably meant a scroll through the new-season offering from ARKET. And I've concluded that this is the strongest collection to date from the much-loved brand.

ARKET features in all of our editors' wardrobes. From its reliable staples that come highly praised by fashion people to standout pieces that could easily pass for designer, the high-street brand truly does it all. With each refresh of the new-in section, our team Slack channels light up with products shared and favourites selected, and this coming autumn is no exception.

For 2023, ARKET has honed in on autumn as an opportunity to experiment with fabrics, instantly creating a designer air, despite the pieces' actual price points. From leather to denim, satin to ruching, these fine details have an innately expensive look that will refine and update even the simplest of wardrobes.

As the days start getting shorter, we'll be turning more and more to layering, and ARKET's Racer Leather Jacket is sitting top of my list. Colour is important in the new collection, with deep browns and classic black reflecting the darker days, whilst soft pinks offer a delicate respite throughout. And as always, ARKET is in sync with the most wearable trends, highlighted by the focus on silver jewellery and maxi hemlines. Finally, practicality is on the table, with coated canvas coats and totes the brand's answer to staying chic in the rain.
