Welcome to The Great Beauty Try-On, where we seized the opportunity to test-drive the best-selling makeup products from some of your favorite beauty brands (plus some newcomers!) and documented the process along the way.

I'm going to be straight with you: I had no intention of creating a holiday makeup look—absolutely none, zero, zilch, nada. But give a girl some Armani Beauty products, and the possibilities are endless. I guess all I needed to get into the festive spirit was some Eye Tint Liquid Eyeshadow ($30) and the perfect pink lip. It's a combination that wouldn't even cross some people's minds, but I tend to gravitate toward the unexpected. I am a beauty editor, after all, so I do have one nonnegotiable: I need to start with a glowy base. Then, I pick a feature to accentuate and see where it takes me. In this case, I focused my energy on my eyes and went for something a little undone, applying a wash of the prettiest pinkish-red liquid shadow across my lid.
