If You're Looking for a New, Quietly Luxurious Bag, These Just Hit Right
Sponsor Content Created With Aspinal of London
My handbag collection is the most treasured part of my wardrobe. It's a journey of pieces that I've accumulated over the years, with everything from bags I bought at tiny stalls in the middle of Corfu to investment pieces that took me years to save for to crochet styles I've made myself. Though my collection may be more extensive than most, I carefully consider each style before adding it to my wardrobe. And right now, I have my eye on a particular style of woven bag by none other than luxury British brand Aspinal of London.
Aspinal of London has been on my radar for quite some time. Many of my friends are proud owners of an Aspinal bag, and its leather passport holders are a particular go-to for gifts. Even now, I can spot from the corner of my eye the Tidy All box, which holds my dearest treasures, sitting atop my dresser. The brand's backing is extensive. Kate Middleton is a long-time fan and is accompanied by many more celebrities and fashion people, including Sienna Miller and Gigi Hadid. What makes Aspinal so beloved is the understated style and exquisite craftsmanship that can be seen in all its styles from bags to purses to jewellery.
But for now, we're focused on handbags. The particular style that has piqued my interest is a collection of intricate woven bags. As soon as the sunshine returns, there's a new focus placed on material. For clothing, this is often linens and airy cotton styles, but for accessories, it's all about woven details and raffia fabrics that add dimension and texture to any look. Aspinal has taken this in stride, offering its most iconic bags in summery raffia and weave finishes. The bags are bordered with high-quality leather that also makes up the straps, adding an extra level of refinement. Plus, the leather adds a versatile touch to keep the typically summery styles feeling relevant all year round.
Now, let's delve deeper into the particular raffia-weave styles on offer. There's a spacious tote that can be filled up with work essentials or beach necessities. The Resort Bag is a classic shape with two strap options (a leather and a chain style, which allow for various styling options) and features plenty of handy pockets to store everything from your keys and phone to lipstick and sunnies. The Mayfair is an iconic silhouette that can be worn as a crossbody or toted around by the handle. This is particularly appealing for dressier events. There's also the classic Camera Bag, a laid-back crossbody style that will go with all kinds of outfits. Finally, I've included the Flat Pouch, which can be worn as an elegant clutch or inserted in a tote to keep your essentials all in one place. Whichever style takes your fancy, you can rest assured that the elevated design will withstand moving trends, ensuring your new treasure will remain a hero piece in your wardrobe for years to come.

THE RESORT BAG
The choice of straps is really exciting.
For those who always opt for black handbags, this chevron-raffia style will add a point of difference.
Navy and cream are such a timeless combination, especially complemented by the gold chain and writing.
This bag is spacious despite its compact size and features plenty of pockets to keep all your essentials in place.
THE TOTE BAG
A tote is a true staple piece whether you're heading to the office, the beach or a picnic in the park.
The side pockets will keep essentials (read: phone, lipgloss, gum) close to hand.
The chevron effect takes the nautical blue-and-white pairing to an elevated level.
THE MAYFAIR BAG
This versatile style is just as fitting for a daytime stroll in the park as it is for evening drinks on balmy evenings.
The shield lock is a signature for Aspinal, making the bag instantly recognisable.
The vintage-inspired silhouette and clever compartments perfectly balance style and function.
THE POUCH
A simple jeans-and-tee look will benefit from this contrasting texture.
I'm a big fan of multi-use styles, and this works just as well as a tote organiser.
An effortlessly summery piece.
THE CAMERA BAG
I often sing the praises of a useful camera bag.
An any-day, anytime, anywhere kind of bag.
