I Just Created a Simple Autumn Capsule Out of These 21 Buys

In my mind, the autumn months have always lent themselves to the minimalist aesthetic, and while this may sound counterintuitive (after all, it's a season defined by an abundance of layering, rather than the simplicity of a summer dress), it's the perfect time to embrace the "less is more" mantra. Some of the most beautiful outfits I've ever seen have been comprised of just tailored trousers, brogues and a chunky cashmere knit. Perhaps the beauty lies in the simple textural contrasts that the season can offer.

Taking into consideration the new restrictions on socialising, we want our wardrobe purchases to be more versatile than ever, and the minimalist look lends itself perfectly to this. I've put together a minimalist autumn capsule edit, and every item can be worn over 30 ways. For example, a blazer can be thrown over a white tee and jeans but also elevated with a slip skirt, a chunky chain and strappy sandals. Or you can even pair of tailored joggers will happily serve you when WFH with a cosy knit and slippers, then feel date night appropriate with a white shirt and smart loafers. There's really no better time to "buy less, buy better."

Whatever you're looking for this season, feel free to use our minimalist capsule to spark your excitement for the months ahead. Scroll down to see what I'm championing now.
