This summer, I have trips planned to visit Cabo San Lucas on the Baja Peninsula in Mexico and Nantucket off the coast of Massachusetts—both beachside locales known as vacation destinations. Naturally, as a fashion editor, I've been thinking about the pieces I will be packing into my suitcase. I have been holding off on shopping to get special pieces for the trips and have narrowed down my front-runners. Among them are fresh swimwear, A-line dresses, and activewear. Plus, there are so many incredible drops from designers this season I've been considering that would fit into a beach wardrobe.

With that in mind, I made a list of the items sitting at the top of my shopping wish list for the trip. While I'll be packing pieces I already own, vacations are always a great excuse to shop for fun new items. Ahead, see the shopping finds topping my list, from the biggest swimsuit trends of the season to pieces I'm planning to wear year after year.
