$4 and 8 Hours Later, Meet the Peel-Off Lip Stain That Stays Put All Day
Welcome to Internet Famous, a monthly series in which we ask our Instagram followers to vote on a viral beauty product that's taken social media by storm. Then the beauty team will take the winning pick for a spin and share their reviews—pictures included.
I have a beauty confession to make—but before I start, is this a safe space? Despite being a lip-combo enthusiast, I rarely reapply the full combo once I'm out for the day. (Hold the gasps.) I typically let my lip liner fade and only reapply whatever gloss is at the bottom of my purse that day. While I have so much respect for the people who can whip out a compact mirror, lip liner, lipstick, and gloss in the middle of an event, I'm a bit lazy in this department. And that's why it's so crucial for me to seek out long-lasting lip products that don't require hourly retouches. The internet has spoken, and lip stains have replaced your standard lip pencil. Quite frankly, I can't scroll social media without seeing someone peel off their lip stain, so my fellow editors and I are putting SheGlam's Fall in Line Peel Off Lip Liner Stain ($4) to the test.
If you've fallen victim to ads promoting peel-off lip stains, you know how messy application can get. The product is too sticky, dries too quickly, or leaves your lips with zero moisture. But this lip liner tint is absolutely weightless, mess-free, long-lasting, and available in three shades. Not to mention, its ingredients include sodium hyaluronate and vitamin E to lock in moisture. Like with many components of our makeup routines, there's an element of "trust the process" to this lip stain. Looking in the mirror at a shiny black coat on your lips that will dry in 10 20 minutes is pretty strange, but the results are well worth it, and they're waiting for you below.

"I discovered lip stains about two years ago, and since then, I've tried just about every formula on the market, so you could say I'm somewhat of a connoisseur. SheGlam's version truly impressed me. I've tested peel-off products that were either messy or dried out too fast on the applicator, but this one was the complete opposite. It went on smoothly, dispensed plenty of product, and peeled off in one clean swoop. As for the color, I'm obsessed. I used Pinky Promise, and it's the most gorgeous berry shade—a no-brainer for fall and winter. You could even layer on a hint of red gloss if you want to lean into a more festive holiday look. Longevity is the real test for any lip stain, and this one passed without question. I wore it from morning through dinner, and by the end of the day, my coworkers and I confirmed it was still going strong. I've already reached for this multiple times this month, and it's officially on repeat in my routine." — Anneliese Henderson, senior fashion editor

"I'm a bit skeptical whenever I see a product go viral, but consider me changed. This peel-off lip stain is pretty genius. Don't let the frenzy of videos intimidate you—it's very user-friendly, even on the first try, and it lasts for hours after application. The Mauvelous shade added the perfect amount of depth to my lip line, and it didn't look out of place even when my lip gloss needed to be reapplied. I paired it with the Putty Pocket Lip Balm for a touch of color and the sheer Crystal Glaze gloss on top. I'm impressed! I'd definitely recommend this lip stain to someone who prefers a long-lasting lip product." — Kaitlin Clapinski, associate fashion editor, branded content

"My everyday lip combo consists of a dark-brown liner and pink or nude gloss on top. I've been loyal to the same liner for the past two years, and despite testing products daily, I've never been tempted to make a permanent swap—until now. Lip stains are quite scary, mostly because they're a bit unforgiving when you make mistakes. When I applied the shade Brownie Points, I was able to clean up the corners of my lips without creating a mess. We have the flat applicator to thank for that. I love the idea of focusing on other parts of my makeup routine while my lip stain dries down. It was ready to peel in about 10 minutes, and my lips were perfectly outlined. Every time I reapplied my gloss, I didn't even have to worry about refreshing my liner, which is a major game-changer for me." — Aniyah Morinia, beauty editor
