Beauty Editors (and My WhatsApp Group) Can't Stop Talking About This Beauty Advent Calendar
I know, I know; it's barely September, and the idea of talking about Christmas when I'm still recovering from August's heatwave feels almost laughable. (For me, the festive season doesn't really start until after Halloween, when I cave in and buy my first Terry's Chocolate Orange.) But beauty advent calendars wait for no one, and if you've been part of this world for even a second, you'll know that for beauty lovers, these launches have become just as anticipated as the gift-giving season itself. They're the ultimate treat: 25 days of skincare, makeup, haircare and fragrance favourites wrapped up in one glossy package. And whilst there are plenty of beauty advent calendars launching this year, the one that's got everyone buzzing, from beauty editors to my non industry friends: the Space NK Beauty Advent Calendar.
Let's get into it. Space NK's 2025 beauty advent calendar is truly stacked, bringing together loved icons and exciting newcomers across skin, makeup, hair and fragrance. Think Augustinus Bader's Retinol Serum (a hard-working nighttime hero), Charlotte Tilbury's Pillow Talk Beauty Light Wand (which genuinely never fails to make my cheekbones pop) and Olaplex No.6 Bond Smoother for the glossiest blow-dry at home. Then there are the crowd-pleasers: Glossier's Birthday Balm Dotcom, Summer Fridays' Dream Lip Oil and La Mer's Lip Volumizer, all three of which are part of my holy-grail lip line-up.
What makes this calendar even more exciting is that it doesn't skimp on size. 26 of the products are full-sized, which explains why the value clocks in at over £1150(!) whilst retailing for just £260. When you consider that it features some of the most talked-about names in beauty right now, like Westman Atelier, K18 and Tatcha, it becomes clear why this one calendar has so many (myself included) counting down to Christmas already.
The Space NK 2025 Beauty Advent Calendar is officially available to buy, but if history has taught us anything, it won't be around for long. Last year's sold out in a matter of weeks, and I don't see this year being any different. To give you a taste of the genuinely covetable products you'll want to incorporate into your routine long after the festive season ends, I've rounded up 13 of the standouts you'll find inside.

Retinol can take the skin some getting used to, but this formula makes it accessible. It pairs a steady-release form of retinol with Augustinus Bader's TFC8 technology, which essentially coaches the skin to renew itself more efficiently. The result? Smoother texture, fewer fine lines and a more even tone over time.
The perfect blush-highlighter hybrid, this product transforms your face in seconds. The sponge-tip applicator makes it ridiculously easy to dot onto cheekbones, lids and the bridge of the nose, whilst the creamy, blendable formula is never patchy.
If you heat-style or colour your hair regularly, this is worth its weight in gold. It uses Olaplex's bond-building technology to strengthen weak strands from within whilst smoothing the outer cuticle to keep frizz under control. I like cocktailing it with Color Wow Dream Coat (another advent inclusion) to make my blow-dry look salon-professional and last longer, even if I did it with a £25 hairdryer.
Somewhat of a cult lip balm, Balm Dotcom packs in beeswax, lanolin and castor seed oil to create a soft, protective layer that actually stays put, unlike so many balms that disappear within an hour. Birthday has a sweet scent and has a subtle shimmery effect.
Summer Fridays nailed the balance with this one: it's glossy enough to look like makeup but hydrating enough to feel like skincare. Infused with jojoba, avocado and rosehip oils, it leaves lips conditioned whilst delivering a sheer pink wash of colour. It's just as good slicked over bare lips as it is over Kosas’s Hotliner (also in the calendar) for a more defined lip look.
This is La Mer, so of course it's indulgent, but it's not just about the brand. The formula contains its signature Miracle Broth, which helps repair and condition lips. What I like most is the finish: it adds a plumped, cushiony look without that over-the-top tingle you get from some volumising products.
Tatcha products always have the most sumptuous textures, and this serum is no exception. Lightweight and silky, it's powered by niacinamide to even skin tone and hyaluronic acid to plump. Japanese botanicals give it that spa-like feel that makes skincare more of a ritual than a chore. I like to pair it with The Ordinary Glycolic Acid (see below) for a glow that people will comment on.
An icon for a reason. Glycolic acid works like a resurfacing treatment, sweeping away dead skin cells to reveal a fresher layer underneath. What I love about this toner is that it's affordable yet performs as well as pricier formulas I've tried. Use it sparingly (a few times a week at night) and always follow with hydration—It’s one of those products that truly changes how your skin looks and feels over time.
Not all hair oils are created equal. This one doesn't just coat strands; it contains peptides that actually help repair internal damage whilst smoothing the surface. Lightweight and non-greasy, it tames flyaways without leaving hair flat. I run a pump through my damp ends before bed and wake up to noticeably softer hair.
An eye shadow stick is one of the quickest shortcuts to looking "done", and this one glides on effortlessly without dragging. The formula is blendable enough to smudge with fingers, but once it sets, it doesn't budge. It's great for busy mornings or when you want something low-maintenance for an evening out.
Cleansers are often overlooked, but this one really does make a difference. With a blend of mild surfactants and glycerin, it removes makeup, SPF and all the day's grime without leaving skin stripped or feeling squeaky-clean. It gives a thorough yet gentle cleanse that your face will thank you for.
This moisturiser makes skin feel bouncy the second it goes on. It's packed with peptides, which are brilliant for supporting the skin's structure, plus hydrating ingredients that cushion without greasiness. I've been using it in the mornings before makeup, and it creates the perfect canvas that makes my foundation sit better and keeps my face hydrated all day.
