Denim has officially reached the top of the fashion pyramid. Whether it’s designers taking on unique silhouettes or fashion girls making it an off-duty staple, the trusty blue fabric is reigning supreme. Models Bella Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski recently made a case for the versatile trend, wearing similar denim-on-denim outfits on the same day.
By total coincidence, the two It girls used the same winning formula: a jacket, a white top, and a frayed skirt and cutoffs, respectively. The model-approved denim ensembles were equal parts casual and elevated thanks to the accessories of choice. Hadid and Ratajkowski chose neutral ankle boots to complement the shades of blue and topped off the look with gradient-lens sunglass. Now we’re just wondering: Did they secretly plan the coordinating ensembles? Either way, the Canadian tuxedo just had a very fashion forward moment in the spotlight.
