Now Is the Best Time of Year for Sales, so This Is the Activewear to Shop Now
This time of year might seem a bit stressful with holiday prep, gatherings, gift shopping, etc. But it can also be a fun time of year if you're really into scoring amazing deals, whether it's for yourself or for holiday gifts. While Black Friday and Cyber Monday are less than two weeks away, you really don't have to wait to shop until you're in a post-turkey haze. Many retailers already have some great deals and sales. Think of this time as Black Friday Jr.
While the discounts run the gamut across all different categories, I like to take advantage of all the activewear deals time of year. Those expensive leggings or that sports bra I've been coveting are most likely good buys right about now. Plus, my reasoning for stocking up on activewear during the holiday season is that I'll inevitably find myself working out more come January (typical new year, new you stuff), so it's the perfect time to get some fresh gear.
Take a look at some notable finds below to shop for yourself and for your friends and family. (They make good gifts, too.)
Leggings
The moto detail on these leggings sets them apart from your regular pair. They're made of moisture-wicking fabric and have a no-slip waistband.
Capri fits come in handy during the warmer months or if you're expecting to really sweat it out and want to keep cool. This one is designed for medium-impact workouts and has a sleek and compressive fabric.
Don't be afraid to opt for a print when it comes to your workout leggings. These ones from Lululemon are designed for yoga and are made of the softest fabric ever. You'll probably want to wear them when you're not working out, too.
These high-rise leggings are great for medium-impact workouts and have the perfect amount of support. They also feature side pockets.
I'm a big fan of Alo's Airlift leggings because they really do such a good job of sculpting, supporting, and smoothing. The fabric is breathable and moisture-wicking and can be worn to just about any workout class.
You can wear these sculpting leggings to yoga, barre, and even HIIT classes. The high-tech fabric also has reflective details, which are great for outdoor workouts.
Sports Bras
The great thing about longline bras is that they provide enough coverage and support so you don't really have to wear another layer if you don't want to—even if you're not one to wear just a sports bra alone. This one is made for low-impact workouts like yoga and has a buttery-soft feel.
This low-impact bra is just so easy and comfortable to wear. It's moisture-wicking and has removable cups.
Outdoor Voices' Doing Things bra is one of the brand's best sellers because it's so versatile. The medium-support bra can be worn during all types of workouts, and it has a mesh back for breathability.
Designed for yoga classes, this bra helps you move freely while also providing enough support. The weightless fabric is so soft and breathable and has plenty of stretch.
You're going to need a bra like this one for those high-impact workouts. The compressive and sweat-wicking bra also has breathable mesh panels so you don't get too hot.
You don't have to worry about overheating with this piece—it has perforations all over and a racerback to keep you cool.
Shorts
The cool thing about these shorts is that they're not only comfortable, but they're also sustainable. The compressive shorts are made from recycled water bottles.
You can go on some long runs with these comfy shorts. They're designed with breathable mesh for ventilation, and they have an interior pocket to stash your keys and other necessities.
Made for yoga or studio classes, these super-soft shorts have a three-layer waistband for comfort and support. Plus, there's a handy pocket in the back.
These lightweight shorts are easy to move in and have four-way stretch. And there are two pockets: a hidden waistband pocket for your keys and a back envelope pocket for your phone.
You'll probably wear these shorts for lounging or running errands, too. The fabric is so soft and weightless. It doesn't get easier than that.
First, these bike shorts just have the coolest eye-catching pattern. And second, they'll just work for any workout because of their compressive and sculpting fit.
Tops
Lululemon's high-neck tank is weightless and has four-way stretch so you'll be able to move through even the most challenging yoga flows.
This long-sleeve top will come in handy for keeping you warm before and after your workouts. It's great to wear outside of your exercise routine, too.
This may look like your average tank, but it has a unique keyhole design in the back for some breathability and to show off your sports bra. It's perfect for medium- and high-impact workouts since it's sweat-wicking and odor-resistant.
Sometimes you just want an easy-breezy shirt to throw on for your workouts. And this one does the trick—it's even named Throw It On Tee.
This cropped tank is perfect to wear with high-waisted leggings. It has a shelf bra for support and is made of buttery-soft performance fabric.
If you prefer a loose fit, this breathable tank will work. Because it's made of moisture-wicking fabric and has breathable mesh panels, it's ideal for your sweatiest workouts.
Outerwear
With an oversize fit, this quarter-zip sweatshirt is perfect for pre- and post-workouts and also just for lounging. It's made of soft cotton terry material.
Everyone needs a basic hoodie, and this one just works. The fabric is a soft cotton-blend fleece, so it will keep you warm and cozy.
You can wear this hoodie before and during workouts, or even when you're running errands or traveling. It has a loose fit so you can move around and be comfortable.
A bomber jacket is just so cool, right? It's easy to bring this jacket everywhere with you because it's so lightweight. There are also secure-zip pockets to store your keys, wallet, phone, and more.
The camo pattern on this crew pullover makes it stand out a little bit more. The knit fabric is so soft and cozy and even feels a bit like cashmere.
You'll be able to run in cooler temps and not freeze with this track jacket. And it's souped-up with some pretty cool features: a stowaway drawcord hood, sleeves with knit internal cuffs and thumbholes, reflective details, and a moisture-wicking jersey underlayer.
