I Prefer Block Heels Because They're Chic and Comfortable—These 20 Pairs Are Gorgeous

When I wear heeled sandals, I don't want to be teetering about in a pair that's razor thin. Sure, on occasion, those are nice, but as someone with things to do and places to go, I'm always going to choose a block-heel sandal over your standard pump. For one, block-heel sandals are comfortable, and while I'm no podiatrist, I'd put money on the fact that they're better for your feet (and therefore, your morale) than a stiletto. This is especially important if you live in a city where you walk a lot.
