It Took Me 17 Years to Find the Perfect Bra
I just love the idea of pretty lingerie. There’s something about slipping into dainty pieces finished with French lace or delicate ruffles that, to me, seems like the ultimate luxury. Recently, though, I realized that for all the bras I’ve collected over the years, I still hadn’t found the perfect styles for all of my outfit needs. So I set to the task of figuring this out once and for all.
I know many people struggle with finding the right size for them. So to start, I went toReplica Store to get measured. It turns out that I was wearing the right size after all, which was a great place to start, but the team did give me some key tips about what I wasn’t doing right. With a few quick adjustments to the straps, all the bras I tried on instantly fit better. The sales associate also told me that I should always start by wearing my bras on the loosest band setting. That way, as the bra stretches out, you can still secure it snugly. Armed with the knowledge of how I should be wearing them, I then set off to find the perfect styles. Read about the best bra styles I’ve worn to this day ahead.
The everyday bra
This one not only made me happy, but it also made me smile from ear to ear. For forever, I’ve kind of just worn whatever T-shirt bra I discovered on a trip to the department store, but this one is seamless and comfortable enough to be worn under almost any everyday outfit.
Available in sizes 30A to 38D.
Pretty and functional
Available in sizes 32B to 36E.
While a good T-shirt bra is essential for a seamless finish, I also love pieces with pretty details—and this Agent Provocateur bra checks both of those boxes. Not only does it feel luxurious to wear it, but it’s also really functional underneath most of my outfits.
A perfect strapless bra
I’ve never been a fan of padded bras, but I’ve often struggled to find strapless versions. I was thrilled when I finally found this style.
Available in sizes 32A to 38C.
Comfortable and cute
Sometimes, I just want to skip a bra with underwire and wear something comfortable instead. While it doesn’t work with every outfit, I actually love styling this one on its own as a top.
Available in sizes XS to XXL.
A pretty bralette
Here’s a bra that’s meant to be seen peeking out of your clothes. It’s the perfect thing to wear underneath an oversize button-down top.
Available in sizes XS to L.
The bandeau
Until recently, a bandeau bra wasn’t in my arsenal, but I love wearing them under the open-front tops that are everywhere right now.
Available in sizes S/M to M/L.
The bra stand-in
Okay, so this technically doesn’t even count as a bra, but it’s the perfect thing to wear when I have something low-cut and a bra isn’t really in the cards.
