14 Products We Unanimously Agree Are Exceptional

What makes an exceptional fashion pick? Forgive us for tooting our own horn, but we tend to think if all 10 of our editors agree on it, your chances of post-purchase satisfaction are quite high. We each spend a significant amount of time each day perusing fashion products, which adds up to hundreds of hours of market research in any given month. The result? A few shiny and very special items that we unanimously approve. Scroll down to check out which 14 made the cut this month, from a tiger-print dress in several editors’ carts to the minimalist shoes on every single one of our wish lists.

THE LUXE BAG

Editor Allyson Payer calls the embossed crocodile bag trend the best way to add a big dose of polish to your wardrobe. “I think this is the perfect investment bag for fall that’s equally on trend and a staple,” adds managing editor Michelle Scanga. I myself just discovered this brand on Net-a-Porter’s young-designer incubator program. It’s so new I can’t even find the label’s Instagram account. Hit me up if you locate it!

THE LAYERED NECKLACE

Associate editor Kristen Nichols is all about Alighieri, and she’s not the only one. I own one of the brand’s earlier-season pieces, and this layered pearl necklace has been the talk of the office. If you peek at any of our Instagrams, you’ll see we love layered jewelry in general. Michelle and market editor Nicole Akhtarzad nail the look especially well.

THE STATEMENT SUNNIES

Every WWW editor owns a pair of cat-eye sunglasses, so naturally, this statement pair is at the top of our wish lists. Considering they’re only $20, it’s just a matter of time before one of us pulls the trigger.

THE IT SHOES

Kristen definitively calls these the shoes of the season, and Nicole messaged me asking if she should buy a pair. I affirmed the potential purchase because when I was recently in Copenhagen for fashion week, they were the one shoe style (well, those and Havaianas flip-flops) that were seen on all the chicest women.

THE COOL-GIRL TOP

There isn’t an editor on our team who didn’t wear the romantic trend this summer, whether it was senior news editor Erin Fitzpatrick in a Dôen dress or assistant editor Anna LaPlaca in a ruffle top. This Zara leather shirt is the perfect example of how the trend will carry into fall. In three words: We’re all smitten.

THE WEDDING-READY DRESS

We’ve all discussed at length how effective the #MangoGirls ambassadors are at encouraging a quick-draw purchase. Roberta Benteler makes the brand look supremely expensive, so it’s no surprise that many of us already have this affordable gown in our shopping carts.

THE VINTAGE-INSPIRED BELT

What better piece to complement all of our high-waisted pants? That’s the consensus we came to in our latest edit meeting.

THE GOING-OUT DRESS

Our team’s love for Réalisation knows no bounds. Kristen is practically a brand ambassador at this point, and Michelle just picked up this exact dress from the tailor. As for why you should get the tiger rather than the other prints this frock comes in? “We’ve said it once, and we’ll say it again: Animal print is the trend to be seen in this fall,” says editor Lauren Eggertsen.

THE THROWBACK FLEECE

While it’s still blazing hot at both our West Hollywood and Manhattan office locations, we’re channeling our fall weather wishes into this updated fleece. There’s something about the unusual mint-and-red color combo that has our interest piqued.

THE FANCY BOOTS

Just like leopard, zebra, and tiger print, snakeskin is on the rise. “What I personally love about the trend is how versatile it is,” adds Kristen.

THE NEW MATCHING SET

Personally, I cannot fathom a cooler coordinated look than this Tibi set, and I have the feeling Nicole would be into it too. I’m not sure how to pull off tight Bermuda shorts yet, but where there’s a will, there’s a way.

THE CAGE SHOES

Any time Maryam Nassir Zadeh comes out with a new shoe silhouette, pretty much all of us are on board. The cage version feels completely fresh, and I’ve already snagged a pair for myself on The RealReal.

THE CROPPED CARDIGAN

Nicole has been pushing cardigans for over two years now, so it’s natural that she’s super into this cropped version. It reminds me of the stunning knit look Chloë Sevigny wore in our Fall Issue.

THE BELTED SHORTS

Senior Editor Gina Marinelli recently recounted how when she asked multiple editors where we secretly source the best finds, we were quick to call out the same destination: Pixie Market. Plus, cords, strings, and—heck—even shoelaces are making a comeback as belts.
