Given the opportunity, I will wax poetic any day of the week about the seemingly endless advantages of shopping recycled fashion. Right out of the gate, it's friendly to the environment. One of the biggest polluters of our planet is excess waste, so if you can find something that's been worn before rather than reaching for something new—do it. Next, it solves the problem of feeling you're wearing the same thing as everybody else. If you've snagged a pair of Prada loafers from the '90s, it's likely you won't spot them on anyone else. And finally, it's kind to the wallet. Because you are buying something that's been worn before, it's subsequently going to be cheaper. What's not to love about the whole process?

As such, I'm an avid shopper on The RealReal and spend a substantial amount of time on the site perusing its hidden treasures. As a token of my love for eco-friendly shopping and stylish pieces in general, continue ahead for my favorite 21 pieces of the moment.

Speaking of: Here's how to look current without shopping all of the time.
