Shopping for a new fragrance? Explore our roundup of the best new perfumes to spritz into the new year.
As a beauty editor, I often get asked what my favourite part of my job is. Although there are so many things I could say, one thing I love more than anything else is getting to write about fragrances daily. I've been obsessed with trying the best perfumes for as long as I can remember, as there's something so transformative about wearing a new scent. Even if I've had a bad day, one spritz of my most-complimented fragrance has the power to make me feel a little bit better.
With the new year in full swing, lots of brands are launching perfumes that are perfect for January and beyond. I don't know about you, but I love switching out my festive scents for fresh, clean-smelling fragrances at this time of year. My inbox is nearly full of press releases, and my desk is overflowing with samples, so I've been spending the last week sorting through everything and selecting the standout fragrance launches from the past few weeks.
I've included my top picks below, and trust me when I say that these scents are not to be missed. From escapist scents to brand new luxury fragrances and new takes on old classics, keep on scrolling for the best new perfume launches, and get ready to take your fragrance collection to the next level this season...
6 of the Best New Perfume Launches for January
- Best Floral Perfume: Dior Addict Rosy Glow, £92
- Best Body Mist: Ouai Ibiza Fragrance Mist, £26
- Best Fresh Perfume: Tom Ford Soleil Neige, £108
- Best Gourmand Perfume: Burberry Her Parfum, £152
- Best Woody Perfume: Escentric Molecules Molecule 01 + Champaca, £135
1. Dior Addict Rosy Glow
Key notes: Damascus rose essence, lychee, dulce de leche
First up is easily one of the most exciting beauty launches of the month. Dior has created a brand new collection of three fragrances bursting with gourmand goodness. My favourite? Rosy Glow, a blend of rose, lychee and dulce de leche. It's sweet, floral and totally delicious. Plus, how cool is this bottle?
2. Ouai Ibiza Fragrance Mist
Key notes: Cocoa, tonka bean, vanilla, rum
In need of a little escapism this winter? Ouai has got you covered with its brand new body mists. Inspired by the island of Ibiza, this scent combines heady rum with sweet vanilla to create the most intoxicating blend that makes me want to book a flight ASAP. The brand has also launched the Santorini Fragrance Mist (£26), with notes of peach, orange and honeysuckle.
3. Phlur Afterglow
Key notes: Coconut, apricot, citrus, vanilla, lavender, sandalwood
Speaking of escapist scents, this is another fragrance that will have you dreaming of warmer days. The minute I spritzed this, I was immediately transported to sunnier times thanks to notes of creamy coconut and juicy apricot. However, a warm, woody base of lavender and sandalwood makes this perfume work all year round.
4. Tom Ford Soleil Neige
Key notes: Bergamot, orange blossom, jasmine, benzoin resinoid, cistus labdanum
I always gravitate towards fresh scents at this time of year, and I've got my eyes on Tom Ford's latest launch, Soleil Neige. Bright citrus notes and white florals evoke images of a cold winter walk with snow crunching beneath your feet.
5. Burberry Her Parfum
Key notes: Cherry, amber, vanilla
I'm a big fan of Burberry's Her perfume, and the newest iteration is utterly divine. Notes of cherry, amber and vanilla unfurl onto the skin to create a sweet, warm, addictive aroma that feels both bold and comforting all at once.
6. Escentric Molecules Molecule 01 + Champaca
Key notes: Iso E Super, champaca
You probably know by now how much teamBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing UK loves the original Escentric Molecules Molecule 01 fragrance; however, if you aren't familiar, the brand also has a collection of M+ perfumes that combine a new note with Iso E Super for a more distinctive finish. Molecule 01 + Champaca features notes of champaca (an absolute extracted from the red champaca flower), adding a bright, floral, woody aroma that is simply stunning for winter.

Key notes: Bergamot, almond, rose, iris, vanilla, tonka bean, musk
This was the winter fragrance that I couldn't stop reaching for in December. You may be familiar with Guerlain's original Shalimar scent (it's an icon), but to celebrate its 100th anniversary, the brand released Shalimar L'Essence, a captivating take on the OG perfume that is heightened by notes of creamy vanilla. I wore this to a festive dinner, and had about five friends ask me what fragrance it was. It's a sensual, sophisticated gourmand scent, with a warm, woody undertone that makes it feel incredibly elevated.
Key notes: On the Rocks accord, cognac essence, tonka bean absolute, bergamot, grapefruit, aldehydes
Boozy scents truly shine during winter, and Wholesale Replica Bag launch from Kilian Paris is no exception. If you're a fan of the original Angel Share perfume, then you will love this. As the name suggests, this particular fragrance is slightly cooler and more frosty than the original, featuring citrusy notes such as bergamot and grapefruit. Spritzing it feels like that first sip of an ice-cold cocktail while standing in front of a roaring fire.
Key notes: Vanilla, amber, pink pepper, oakwood
Vanilla perfumes have proved particularly popular this winter. However, if you're looking for a grown-up gourmand, I suggest checking out Loewe's new Roasted Vanilla scent. This is an incredibly rich, heady perfume, with hints of oakwood and pink pepper adding a smoky element to the vanilla notes. It feels warm and cosy, but not in a cashmere blanket kind of way. Instead, it's like slipping on a cool leather jacket.
Key notes: Lily, osamanthus, magnolia, ylang ylang, grapefruit
Balmain has been on it with its new fragrance launches as of late, and now the brand has released four eau de toilette iterations of some of its most popular scents, including my personal favourite, Rouge. The sparkling floral fragrance feels impossibly romantic, and the eau de toilette is somewhat lighter and more wearable than the original. While my Rouge perfume is reserved for date nights only, this has become my new go-to for every day.

Key notes: Lemon, clementine, orange, rose, jasmine, sandalwood, tonka
I love orange scents at this time of year, as they feel really uplifting. New from Beauty Pie is Orange Absolute Intense, a soft yet punchy fragrance that combines zesty, citrusy notes of lemon and clementine with smooth, creamy sandalwood and tonka for a sophisticated finish.
