At 5'4", I'm what's considered to be the average height for a woman from the United States. You would think that would make finding pants easier, right? That's hardly the case in my experience. I can't even tell you how often I come across pants with a 31-inch, 32-inch, or even 33-inch inseam, which would be dragging on the ground on me. I know that puddle pants are a thing (I've written all about them), but extra-long pants aren't something I want to deal with on a regular basis.

I've found that the ideal pant length for someone of around average height like myself is 28 inches. They hit right at the bottom of my ankle—not too long and not too short.
