I Never Pay Full Price for Shoes—Here's Where I Shop
I’ll be the first to admit I’m a bit of a shoe fiend. They’re my weakness. But I can’t exactly invest all of my money in a shoe collection. While eBay and seasonal sales are certainly obvious ways to score discounted shoes, there are a few other, more surprising places I’ve found to be total gold mines for discounted designer footwear. They’re so good that it’s fully possible to get every pair of shoes you purchase from these three sites, and the discounts are year-round. Intrigued? Keep scrolling to find out what they are and why I love them, and to shop my current favourite picks from each.
Shoescribe touts itself as “the online store for shoe lovers,” and truer words were never spoken. The site stocks a slew of the best mid-level and high-end brands and always seems to miraculously have nearly every size in stock. The site keeps an ongoing sale section, refreshing its stock so regularly that you’ll even find tons of current-season styles on discount. This is a haven for lovers of Gianvito Rossi, Isabel Marant, and Proenza Schouler.

If you do a little comparison shopping on Farfetch, the place to shop boutiques all over the world from the comfort of your home, you’ll find that prices for international labels are often lower here than what you’ll find elsewhere. As in a lot lower. For example, a pair of current-season Chloé sandals we spotted sell for $490 on Farfetch but $595 on U.S.-based sites. There’s no confirmed explanation for this, so just happily accept it for what it is.

The discount sister site to Net-a-Porter, The Outnet is a high-end online outlet of sorts. And given the connection, you know its selection is going to be good. The site has a vast shoe inventory, with Alexander Wang, Charlotte Olympia, and Pierre Hardy. Sign up for email updates, and check for new arrivals often—the best styles tend to go quickly. Most pairs are discounted by at least 50%.
