If I Didn't Own This One Item, I Don't Know What I'd Wear Every Day
Everyone has that one item in their closet that they wish they could wear every day. For some, that item is a perfectly lived-in pair of jeans. For others, it's a simple white T-shirt. For me, it's a silk slip skirt. The first slip skirt I owned was a black version from Vince. I remember contemplating splurging on the skirt for quite some time, and once I did, there was no turning back.
I found that I could wear this skirt style in literally any way I wanted to. To work, I wear it with a simple top or blazer as pictured below. On the weekend, I style it with a graphic oversize T-shirt and sneakers. To go out, I go for a crop top and lace-up heels. When I say the styling options for this skirt are endless, I mean it. Whenever I go to my closet and want something polished yet comfortable, this is the one thing I pull time and again. Without it, I don't know what I'd wear, to be honest.
Below, shop a handful of my favorite slip skirts so that you too can partake in the breeze that is wearing a slip skirt every day.
Don't even get me started on the rosette detailing.
